It’s close to Blackdown Tablelands. It was listed as a motel/campground, but on arrival it looked mainly like staff housing for nearby mines. There was no parking at the units because mining vehicles were using them. The room was well cleaned. The walls were very thin, and the sliding doors between adjacent rooms were loud as workers left for the day.

The staff were super helpful and always ready to meet our needs. They made everything smooth from check‑in to the end of the stay. I left feeling taken care of and would recommend it to anyone looking for friendly service.

The team was friendly and quick to respond, but the room situation was a nightmare. I booked a place that turned out to be a different location, then got moved to a rough mining‑camp style room with a dirty floor, noisy workers, a fridge that didn’t chill, a dusty AC, and a strong bug‑spray smell. No screen door or window made it feel awful, and the price was way higher than I expected.

I booked expecting good Wi‑Fi for work, but the new owners had disabled it and I had to use my phone hotspot for four days. I had to check in at a different spot and the internet situation was a total let‑down. I’m not happy and would like a refund.

The lady at reception went out of her way to get me a downstairs room, which was a huge help since I’m older and don’t want to climb stairs. She was patient and made the whole process easy.
