The staff were helpful; my boyfriend asked for an extra mattress to sleep on the floor because the double bed was too small for his height, and they provided one without fuss. The room itself was just average for the price.

The spot in Pontorson was spot‑on. The room itself offered only the bare minimum, and the pillows were huge and uncomfortable, spoiling my sleep a bit. Overall, the value didn’t match the price.

The rooms were in a house next to a restaurant, with a very friendly host named Alexis. The rooms are old, so keep that in mind, and it’s close to the train station. In the first room the sink clogged, and the host immediately offered a different room. By late evening it was clear that the bedding in the new room wasn’t very clean—hair and other stuff were present, though it’s hard to say if that was a cleaning standard or a change. Since the hotel was only for a night, I didn’t raise the issue and slept on a towel. The corridor had a cool staircase, especially if your room is near it—you could easily lose your footing when leaving.

Alexis welcomed us, and the location was good. The room was very Spartan—no glassware, and the soap broke into pieces.
