“Great location! The hotel has its own inner yard, separated from street by a metal gate. Very quiet.”

The room comes with a heated mattress—since it’s already fall and nights can get quite cold, that feature made my stay super‑comfortable.

Amazing place in the heart of the ancient town. The owner is always happy to help and ready to give tips to enjoy Shangri-La at the best. Very highly recommended!

“Authentic stay in the heart of Shangri La”

The spot is right in the heart of the old town yet quiet, and it’s easy to reach by Didi. The building and rooms feel authentic, as does the host family running the place. The room is nicely decorated with a view of the monastery, the shower is good, and the courtyard and common living room inside are lovely. There’s a helpful board with sightseeing, activity, and trekking options. The hosts speak some English, which is very helpful and appreciated. Everything was good.
