“Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”
The spot in the Old Town offers a stunning view from the terrace overlooking the harbor and sea, and the new décor is tasteful. The outdoor area is great for shared use, and the host is very friendly. Next door is a lovely café, and the stairs from the accommodation lead to another building that serves a nice breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, our GPS sent us into dead ends twice, but the host kindly picked us up. I’d suggest turning onto the eastern end of the promenade toward the Aqueduct, after 50 m turn right into Polidou Street (signs for Old Town and Citadel), stay on the right, then after a few hundred metres turn left onto the steep Mehmet Ali Street, where you’ll see a red mosque; the accommodation is just around the corner.

The room was spacious and lovely, and the garden was truly amazing. Gabi was the best, and it was an incredible weekend—I hope to return soon!
The location is perfect, and the flat is very clean and tidy. Gabi is a very friendly and welcoming host. The flat has a terrace with a beautiful view of Kavala and is very close to the castle and the Kavala center. There are plenty of quality bars and restaurants within walking distance, far from the flat.
The host was very kind and the apartment was very clean. I was disappointed that I had to climb up and down daily, which drained me, and that Booking didn’t mention the apartment is tucked away on a hill; it says it’s “some distance from the beach.” It would be helpful to note that you have to walk 1 km uphill because there’s no parking at the accommodation and you’re forced to leave the car on the street. It’s a good stay for a sports person, not for a normal vacationer.

Everything was excellent—really the best and most beautiful. The hospitality was superb, the surroundings gorgeous, and the cleanliness perfect. For me, it was absolutely flawless! The only thing that felt slightly unnecessary was the lack of air conditioning in my room, which I only noticed after booking. The rest of the rooms do have AC. Parking in the old town is a bit awkward, but the hosts did their best to help. Thank you and many thanks.
