“Siamo stati bene.”
Casa di Marilù was a wonderful experience for exploring places like Locorotondo, Alberobello, and the beautiful Martina Franca during the Christmas season. The host was extremely kind and explained everything to us. The property is the classic stone-built house of the historic centre, with beautiful architecture but also its own strengths and weaknesses. We stayed two nights with low temperatures, which forced us to keep the air‑conditioners on. In my opinion, those units are a bit old‑fashioned and noisy. Still, the stay was lovely. The host left drinks in the fridge bar and some food for a small breakfast. For that, I recommend Bar Auda near the apartment – their desserts are unique. We dined well at Osteria Ricci. At the end, the host gave us a small gift that I won’t reveal to keep the surprise intact. The air‑conditioners are outdated, lack a sleep function, and probably aren’t inverter models, so they never turned off once the temperature was reached.
