The staff were so friendly, we went back for the 2nd time to this hotel, only because we enjoyed our stay the first time already, the food is fantastic and brilliant value for money and the view from the room is 2nd to none, we were given the newly refurbished Durham Suite and we absolutely loved it, couple of little niggles, the toilet is too low and the ceiling above the window isn't finished yet, but everything else is just so beautiful, we will come back next year again. Nothing not to like

I love staying here. The staff are lovely and the room was clean. The building is very old, so it can look a bit rough around the edges, but that's to be expected. The shower had no water; when I showered, the water would stop. Don’t try to wash your hair. It also takes hours for the toilet to fill back up with water.
