The hostel felt like a real break – the family who run it are incredibly friendly and the terrace was perfect for breakfast and watching the sunset. My room was clean, comfortable and offered a nice view, which made the stay even more relaxing.

The rooms and beds were solid, and the owner and staff were genuinely welcoming. Being just a five‑minute walk from town and the bus stop kept the noise down, and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. I also loved the adorable, friendly dog that roamed the property.

The room was pleasant and the staff were welcoming, but it was a hassle that they only accepted dollars, which meant a poor exchange rate.

The place was tidy and worked well, and getting there by tuk‑tuk only cost about $2.50 per person. The only drawback was a mattress that felt a little too firm.
