The staff were very nice, breakfast was excellent, and the evening meals lovely, but the shower needed refurbishing and the stairs to the rooms were very steep.

This place was a safe and pleasant spot for a solo female traveller, located right in the centre near the train station, high street, and the magnificent Chichester Cathedral; the staff were friendly and professional, and the pub‑style rooms were quiet and enjoyable – highly recommend.

The evening bar had a cozy log fire, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and the single‑night room was fine with a strong shower.
