Merche treated us like royalty, coordinating with the village restaurant so it stayed open during our visit for dinner and lunch; it was all very detailed! I can’t find any faults.

Es todo de 10. Sobre todo Merche, no se puede ser mejor anfitriona. Es todo genial

The breakfast was excellent and the host was very friendly, but the room smelled of tobacco, which wasn’t the host’s fault but rather the result of rude, selfish guests.

The atmosphere is wonderful, the villagers are super friendly and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Special shout‑out to the two mastiffs, the real sheriffs of the village 😂. They’re adorable, great, and part of the place’s charm! One of them even joined us on a walk with our dogs, a truly lovely experience ❤️. I also want to highlight a detail that the owner did, which says a lot about her. I left a gold ring at the accommodation and she kindly mailed it back to my address. It’s a gesture of honesty and humanity that’s greatly appreciated, especially today. We left with fond memories of our stay, the surroundings, the people, and those little details that make a place special. Thanks for everything! Without doubt, a place worth visiting and wholeheartedly recommended. As a small improvement, the shower felt a bit small and could be better. Also, the accommodation doesn’t have air conditioning. Although we didn’t miss it at night, summer temperatures can exceed 30 °C and the heat inside can be uncomfortable during the day. In our case it wasn’t a problem because we used the vacation for hikes and excursions and only used the accommodation for rest and breakfast.

This is one of two businesses in a small town off the main roads; the other is a bar that serves food and drink (we didn’t try the food), the only place for evening meals in the town itself. Aguilar de Campoo, the nearest larger town, is worth a visit and full of restaurants and bars. The hotel is a converted house with rooms arranged around a courtyard. Our room was comfortable and clean, though a bit stuffy during a hot summer. The hostess was welcoming, helpful and good‑humoured. Breakfast was splendid: cooked items accompanied by homemade cakes and pastries. Note that you’ll need cash to pay for breakfast.
