Tenuta Monacelli Lecce

The manor and its history, the well‑restored property, very clean and cozy! That’s it. The restaurant and management didn’t communicate with guests; I had reached out beforehand to arrange details for my birthday celebration, with two options: go to the city of Lecce or stay for a festive dinner at the hotel. The administration assured us everything would be delicious, festive, and even something special like a celebratory cake, but I received a dreadful dinner, spoiled fish that was returned, no sweet greeting, and the returned fish was included in the bill. We and our friends didn’t dine at the hotel’s restaurant. It was our first time at a hotel where water was charged; 4‑star hotels normally provide two free bottles of water per day, but not here.

The space, the comfort, and the staff’s willingness to give excellent service. Everything was excellent.

A nice, relaxed place with a laid‑back vibe. A large pool and plenty of sunbeds. The bathroom was a bit small for the price. The breakfast buffet selection could have been larger. Food and drink prices are on the high side, but they tasted as they should.

The whole concept, the grounds, the pool, the staff, the food, the ambience – nothing could be better.
