Easy access and close to the straits. Easy to launch. Nice food. The room above us was noisy.

A charming old inn sits right on the Menai Strait, with a grassy patio where you can sit and take in the view. I stayed in a large twin room that offered a stunning view of the Strait. The evening menu was thoughtfully selected and the food was excellent. The only downside was that breakfast wasn’t provided, and the en‑suite was very hot with no clear way to adjust the temperature.

The room’s location and view were great. It was spacious, modern, and the shower area was up to date. However, there was no light above the mirror, and the bathroom fan was noisy and would start whenever the light was turned on. I could also hear the bar’s music from morning until bedtime.

The location was good. The bistro dinner (extra) was excellent and the staff were super helpful. I would have liked breakfast to be available, so we had to find a place to eat. Room sizes varied, which is expected in an old building, so it was a bit of a luck‑of‑the‑draw for how much space you got.
