The hotel’s location is good, close to the subway and a supermarket across the street, and there are also Coles and WWS near the station. The rooms aren’t big, but the décor is European and the rooms are pretty; basic cleaning is done daily. There are many details that need improvement: 1) The refrigerator was broken and didn’t cool; after a few days we noticed it and, since we usually went out early and returned late, we hardly saw front‑desk staff and could only send an email, which never got resolved. 2) The bathroom lacks a hook for hanging clothes, the sink is tiny, and putting a toothbrush and cleanser there leaves no space for anything else; changing clothes can only be done on the small shelf under the sink, which already holds a bath towel. 3) Wi‑Fi is terrible— you can connect but can’t stream videos, so I ended up using my own data. 4) The TV is a Google TV that requires a Google account, and because the Wi‑Fi is bad, it can’t even cast.

The staff were helpful and the location was convenient, but the bathroom felt a bit cramped.

The receptionist did his best to move me to a better room, but after staying here for many years I was very disappointed that the room I booked wasn’t what I had requested and we were never told that major upgrades were happening on a rolling basis; it would have been better if the hotel had closed completely and refurbished.

“I would definitely stay again.”

The location was perfect for my needs, but I understand the building is under refurbishment so there will always be a few hiccups. The guy at the desk said he was bumping me up to a better room, Rm 105 was super quiet. After a full day of travel all I wanted was a good meal, a TV (not working) and sleep.
