Located in Florence’s historic centre, Residenza Gambrinus occupies a 4th‑floor townhouse once housing a movie theatre, just 150 m from the Cathedral and a short walk from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Air‑conditioned rooms feature contemporary décor, parquet floors, LCD satellite TV, minifridge, free Wi‑Fi, and garden or rooftop views.

The location was amazing, the room was spacious and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were lively and we loved the coffee machine in the common area. On one Friday night there was very loud music playing until 3‑4 am, probably from a nearby bar or restaurant, so I had to sleep with earplugs.

Fantastic location, right in the middle of Florence near the Duomo. We even walked from the train station with our luggage without any problem. There is one flight of stairs you have to manage, but that’s to get to the elevator which you can then easily use to transport your luggage.

The location is superb, everything is just a short walk away. The Franco staff were very warm and kept us updated even though we arrived much later than expected; that made us feel at ease. I highly recommend staying here. Right outside is the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and Gilli Caffe.

The spot was spot‑on, smack in the town centre. The bed was comfy and the room was immaculate. Everyone on the team was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the occasional buzz from the nearby Hard Rock Cafe and the busy street – it wasn’t constant but you could hear it.
