Quinta da Alma Cheia

The pool is fantastic and the setting of the estate is very pleasant. The breakfast, however, was not really great: there was bread for two days and a pack of ten ham slices and a pack of cheese in the fridge for the entire five‑day stay for three people, plus four yoghurts.

The location is beautiful and quiet (the last stretch is a good sandy path if you follow the route via Reguengo Grande; otherwise Google Maps will lead you through the vast sandy area with a maze of narrow paths). The room was very cozy and spacious with five beds, simple but good breakfast, great air‑conditioning and Wi‑Fi. In the garden you can pick fruit yourself (we had strawberries, tomatoes, peaches). The dogs and cats roam freely, which is very relaxing. The large pool has crystal‑clear water that’s pleasantly warm (the photo on the site looks a bit dark, but it’s actually very clear). There is plenty of space around the accommodation. Of the six properties this holiday, this was the most relaxing and enjoyable.

“Eine echt tolle portugisische Landerfahrung.”

The hospitality and service of the innkeeper were delightful. The lovely garden with a pool, the landscape and the generous service at the garden. The accommodation exudes a very original Portuguese charm. Unfortunately, we often had to wait a long time for hot water. It’s not a problem and somewhat expected in a rural setting, but if you come from Germany you shouldn’t be surprised.

“Maravilhosa!”

I love everything as always and this is the third consecutive year I’m returning. I hope to come back next year. I enjoy the quinta, it’s fantastic, the animals that make me miss them, the owner and the staff who are all very friendly.
