The kaiseki dinners were superb, especially the first night with the head chef. The traditional Japanese breakfasts were excellent, and the place was clean. The hallway felt a bit cramped, the walls were slightly dirty, and the carpet needed replacement.

I enjoyed the Japanese-style room. The staff were mostly foreigners but friendly and without any problems. Dinner and breakfast were tasty. The hot spring felt too hot at first, but after soaking in the open-air bath, it was just right. Dinner was delicious but very plentiful, and the breakfast seemed high in salt.
