The location and the property were gorgeous, and we loved being so close to the gondola that we rode up to Allred’s for dinner; the suite was huge for just two people. The living area felt a little dated with heavy wood furniture and old window drapes, but that wasn’t a deal‑breaker. The real issue was that the year‑round heated outdoor pool wasn’t actually heated; it looked great but was icy cold, especially with nights dropping into the 40s. Staff told us repairs were needed and kindly credited our valet parking when we mentioned how let down we felt.

The hotel itself is beautiful, located well, and the rooms are nice. The pool was chilly, the bar shut down at 9 pm, and the breakfast was subpar—just grab‑and‑go muffins and cookies. For a hotel at this price level, I expected a better breakfast.
