The new owners have really spruced up the rooms and the food has gotten a lot better. I gave them full marks for the makeover.

The bed was comfy and the shower had great pressure and temperature. The room was a decent size with a nice view, but the place feels old and rundown—no bathroom door, a toilet door that won’t close, no coat hangers, and a tiny TV that only shows Sky racing and Foxtel sport, so I couldn’t catch the news. A quick renovation—enclose the bathroom, plaster, paint, new curtains, and soft furnishings—would make a big difference.

The shower had mould, which was pretty unsettling, and the TV remote kept glitching even after I swapped the batteries.
