Everything. The best experience I’ve had in Brazil—staff were outstanding and pampered us, dinners were excellent and plentiful, the setting was paradisiacal, and the accommodation was comfortable. We highly recommend it; it was an extraordinary stay at a pousada on a dream beach, never feeling isolated thanks to the pousada’s own boat service. It’s a one‑hour walk to Lopes Mendes, yet the beach at Las Palmas stands on its own. No complaints at all—everything was perfect, with genuine effort and a very well‑maintained pousada.

We had a great time at Palmas. The location is fantastic and the staff were very kind and helpful (and patient considering we don’t speak Portuguese), particularly when it came to booking transportation back to the mainland. They were also flexible when we asked for a late check‑out last minute. Our room was simple but spacious. The breakfast spread in the morning was extensive and delicious. In the surrounding area, we enjoyed going on hikes to the nearby beaches.
