The gardens were amazing and the vibe was peaceful; I loved the wooden rooms. Every Bali hotel should look like this instead of the soulless concrete boxes that dominate this price range elsewhere.

The beds were comfortable and the pool was nice, and the staff were very kind. However, the rooms were very dark, making it hard to find things even with the lights on. The bathroom was also dark and the drain was often clogged. Breakfast was mixed; the omelettes were good but the banana pancake my daughter ordered on the first morning was absolutely inedible. This seems more linked to the island than the bungalows themselves: everywhere waste is burned, producing a strong smell that starts in the morning and persists until evening.

The breakfast, services (excursions, scooter rental…) were good. But the hotel actually has two sections: a beautiful one with bungalows and another with outdated rooms. The photos can be misleading—look closely before booking!
