Our accommodation was perfect for our stay. We were there for mountain biking and enjoying nature. We felt very comfortable.

The location was great for amazing hikes, including the famous Mont Hohneck, and the guest house was pleasant with very good bedding—important for a good rest after sports. Breakfast was classic, nothing exceptional. The reception was quite mediocre; the gentleman wasn’t very friendly, didn’t ask if we were having a good stay, and gave no recommendations. Even at breakfast he said nothing—uncourteous. It’s a pity because our room had a mountain view as promised, the only minor issue was the road, but fortunately traffic was low.

Parking was convenient right in front of the house. The Wi‑Fi works. From the special area you can easily reach the South Vosges and their peaks. Hikes with great views are possible. The property feels family‑like and there’s a cozy lounge with a TV, in case you miss it in your room. Hiking guides and maps are available. Once the host cooked for us in the evening; it was delicious and we enjoyed the company of other guests. The house is very sound‑transmitting; you hear every step from above. We would have liked more fruit, yogurt, and bread toppings for breakfast. It felt odd that house slippers were required and that the room key had to be hung on a board accessible to everyone when leaving. There was no lounge chair for relaxing on the common terrace, and food was forbidden in the room.
