“For breakfast and a sleep it was ideal, perhaps not a holiday. So was appreciated.”

We brought our own breakfast, but the host provided fruit and sweets, which was handy for the event we were attending, and the place was very quiet. We did have trouble filling the electric jug with water from the bathroom tap, and the glasses were stored at the bottom of a cupboard behind us, requiring us to kneel to reach them.

“Perfect!”

The apartment was perfect for an overnight work trip: the bed was comfortable, the neighbourhood was quiet, the appliances were brand new, the place was spotlessly clean, and it had cozy touches like Netflix, Weetabix, chocolate, fruit, and slippers. The heat pump and lamps were on when I arrived late in the evening, which was excellent, and the host was very welcoming. Getting to the city centre was easy.

“The ideal choice for my stay in Mornington.”

The location mattered most to me because I was working nearby, and I appreciated the parking. The room was comfortable and the shower was lovely, so I really enjoyed my stay. As an older person, I couldn’t figure out how to use the TV, so a set of instructions or a booklet of nearby facilities would have helped. I found the Tavern, which was great, and the supermarket was nearby.

I got good communication from the hosts and everything was new and clean—compact, neat, and perfect for a short stay. Parking was right outside on the driveway. The unit was creatively arranged with a nice bathroom, but it turned out to be a converted garage under the hosts’ house that hadn’t been used for a while, so it was very cold at first; maybe the hosts could have turned on the heating for us. The bed was very soft, which works for some people but isn’t my preference.

“The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. If you have a car, highly recommend.”

The room was actually larger than the photos showed and spotless. I appreciated the powerful hair dryer, and the bed was big enough for two. We were surprised to find a decent‑sized working desk and a wardrobe. It’s close to the city centre by car. It would be nicer if the owner could offer a light breakfast, like granola—just a suggestion.
