“A welcoming and relaxing place to stay after an expedition in Greenland.”
The hotel was helpful and welcoming. Clean, and well positioned.
The hotel was great, the food excellent, and the staff were wonderful.
“The most fantastic place to stay in the Arctic, I feel truly relaxed and am being taken good care of”
Hotel Kulusuk is the best hotel in Greenland. It is more than a place for a good night sleep - Jakob and everyone from his team are amazing humans, their helpful and thoughtful approach towards the guests made the hotel so special. It is a place for true East Greenlandic experience, not just the stunning nature view from the hotel window, but also for the unique little glimpse into the culture. Many thanks to every staff at Hotel Kulusuk :). I honestly enjoyed everything. I will recommend this place to anyone who's travelling to East Greenland
“comfortable place with lovely views and great breakfast”
I liked many aspects of Hotel Kulusuk. It’s the only accommodation in the area but has several redeeming features. The dining room offers beautiful water views and a cozy nook with a fireplace; it’s a great spot to relax or work during the day if you’re not out and about. The breakfast spread was better than most hotels I stayed at during my trip. The walk into town is short and pleasant. The staff were friendly and let me check in early, which was great. The room lacked many frills but was clean and served its purpose. The Wi‑Fi wasn’t great but was better than I expected for the location. A free shuttle to the airport is essential. It is more expensive than its counterpart in Tasiilaq, Hotel Angmagssalik, and I’m not sure why. The staff were very friendly to guests but didn’t want non‑guests poking around, perhaps because they’ve had experiences with non‑guests eating food or something. I had reached out in advance with some questions and didn’t get answers through the app, which was common in Greenland.
I loved the place, the food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly.
