Ahoy Surf House

Our stay at Ahoy Surf House was quite pleasant: it was quiet and peaceful, with only one other room occupied, giving the feeling of almost having the large house to ourselves. The common area was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing together in the evenings, and we were recommended a great surf school (Mocean); shops, cafés and the beach are nearby. However, the house wasn’t as clean as expected, showing signs it hadn’t been recently cleaned, though our room was tidy and well‑prepared. The kitchen utensils were the least tidy, so if you spend a lot of time there, it might affect your overall impression. We were charged a higher rate than the surf school itself, and although we were told we paid for private lessons, our lessons were actually arranged through a different surf school, not directly with Ahoy Surf House.

“Everything you need is in Ahoy Surf House”

Great accommodation and the owner was very helpful; Ferrel is still one of the places not affected by mass tourism as some other places in the area. Will definitely come back in the future.

“Séjour sympathique pour rencontrer et échanger avec d’autres voyageurs.”

Hôte très sympathique. Décoration sympathique faite avec des objets de récupération. Les portes font beaucoup de bruit et les chambres très proches les unes des autres. Il y avait en même temps que nous des personnes qui rentraient en pleine nuit, du coup nous nous réveillions plusieurs fois par nuit. La piscine est à l’ombre l’après midi et n’était pas toujours très propre lors du séjour donc nous ne nous sommes pas baignés. La machine à laver ne fonctionnait pas
