The room was comfy, the staff were incredibly friendly, and breakfast was tasty. Parking cost a lot, and there’s no good off‑site parking nearby.

“Excelente lugar para hospedarse en Oakland”

The breakfast, though simple, was fine. Rooms were clean and service was excellent. It would help if staff could keep a closer eye on guests handling appliances, especially when kids are around, as it could be risky.

“Fair place to stay.”

The building is new and tidy. However, the hotel seems to offer vouchers to the unhoused, as I saw four people check in at night, all smelling of poor hygiene, two with dogs, each carrying bags. The vibe felt off while on vacation. In the laundry room, a woman who looked unhoused was talking to herself. The block is sketchy, and a building across the street hasn’t changed since my 2023 visit—mattresses still wrapped in plastic after three years. Oakland has improved since then, but it’s still a work in progress. I was double‑charged for one of my two rooms; the property claimed I hadn’t paid and forced me to pay again at check‑in, wrecking my budget. It took two days of calling the manager and visiting the front desk before I got any answer.

“Staff can be better trained to handle people. Hotel itself is clean.”

Rooms were clean and roomy, but the staff left something to be desired.
