The location was spot‑on, perfect for young party‑goers, and the host was extremely helpful and accommodating. The area was great and easy to explore around Hanoi. The only drawback was the steps, which would be tough for older guests.

The room itself was fine, but getting in was a nightmare. Finding the room was difficult, and no one attended to us—only WhatsApp. We took the key from a box and left the money in the same box. The room was pretty and the location was good, but the access was awful. The stairs were very steep, so carrying a backpack was hard. If that isn’t a problem, the room is okay even though the price is a bit higher than it should be.

It’s a unique homestay tucked in a hidden street, and you have to climb several narrow floors to reach the room. The bedding was good and there’s a small balcony overlooking a lively street. The location is great. The positives are also the negatives: the access isn’t very easy, so it’s best if you’re not struggling with stairs. The street is very busy, so it’s inevitably noisy. We had no choice due to a flight cancellation and no rooms were available nearby. It’s well‑located but very loud—earplugs are recommended.

The place is in a very central spot and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s generally clean, though a bit run‑down and has mold in some areas. The apartment had a damp/moldy smell and was super loud (though that’s what you trade for being so central). You have to walk through a dark alley to reach it; the alley smelled like urine in the evening and ends with a dog in a cage (the poor thing is trapped and it smells awful). You must lock and unlock a gate to the alley at certain times, and the metal is crooked, making it hard—especially when locking from the outside because you have to reach through the bars of the gate and there’s no light.
