The spot was perfect – great views, a spotless room and solid facilities, and the staff were genuinely attentive. The only drawback was the bathroom: it looks nice but offers very little personal privacy.

The rooms are huge and nicely appointed, though the lighting leaves a lot to be desired – there’s practically no light in the toilet or shower. The hotel seemed to be winding down for winter; the only front‑desk person was a young intern who was eager but clearly inexperienced, handling reception, check‑in and food service all by herself. The main building is architecturally impressive but felt gloomy – the fireplace was off and the overall vibe was rather dark.

Nestled in the forest, the place has a rustic charm and the rooms are nicely decorated. The only real issue is the open‑plan bathrooms, which feel pretty uncomfortable.
