“Hot powerful shower. Free parking.”

Nice hot shower and free parking. I called a number and was told where the keys were. The property was left unlocked, which didn’t feel safe to me as a solo female traveller. Breakfast was advertised as an option, but not offered to me on arrival, and there are no other facilities within walking distance. The single room is very small but acceptable for one night. Check the property rules before booking, they are quite restrictive. Something that wasn’t in the listing was the request to remove shoes at the main door. The milk portions on the hospitality tray were well out of date, which the host later apologized for.

Comfortable beds, great showers, and a rural setting. The central heating was set quite high and turned on early, but we could turn it down or off.

“Good for groups sharing”

Clean room, large fluffy towels, and a hot shower. Tea‑making facilities with kettle, tea, coffee & milk. The bed was very hard. There was no door to the ensuite (just a blind that didn’t fully fit), so privacy when using the toilet was an issue. The landlord wasn’t very friendly, more interested in you taking your shoes off on entry. I didn’t mind, but then there was nowhere to sit to put shoes back on! It was off‑putting that the landlord was walking around in just a bathrobe when he showed me around!

“Nice rural location and good room, shame about the breakfast”

Our son and his wife stayed in the room and said it was good, praising the standard and cleanliness. They were told breakfast was included but it wasn’t offered, which was disappointing, and no refund or compensation was given.
