“My reservation was for 3 days, I only stayed one night and found another hotel.”
The staff working that evening were very nice and did their best to help, yet the hallways throughout the facility were uncomfortably cold—especially between the changing rooms and the pools—making it impractical to use the pool in wet swimwear. The corridor temperature felt like an October cold snap outside, and the room itself was also cold, with a thermostat reading of 16°C. A staff member tried to fix the heating, but the issue persisted and even affected the adjacent room because the heating systems were connected. We were moved two rooms down; that room was still chilly, but its heater eventually worked, though it took a long time to reach a comfortable temperature. The pillows were uneven and lumpy, and both the floors and walls showed visible dirt. Although some renovations seem recent, wall surfaces and bathroom finishes remain outdated. Due to the cold, I used a heating pad, and the microwave’s low placement caused the glass tray to break when I removed it. When I contacted the front desk, no cleaning staff were available, and they couldn’t even provide a vacuum to clean the glass. Consequently, my children, dog, and I had to wear shoes to avoid injury; the shards were so small that proper cleaning required tools I didn’t have. The stairway to the parking lot was extremely dirty, had a strong rotten/moldy odor, and was unpleasant to use. The elevator was similarly unclean and looked several decades old. Though my reservation was for three nights, I checked out after the first night and moved to a newer, cleaner hotel at a lower nightly rate. I wish I had taken photos of the rooms, hallways, and staircases.
