The place was beautiful and peaceful, the air quality and facilities were good, and I really enjoyed the breakfast, which was quite delicious. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. The only downside was the lack of extra toilet paper in the room, though that’s a minor issue. I also wanted to order food at night but there was no nearby option, so I suggest bringing your own late‑night snack.

I arrived in the evening, got checked into a room, and immediately headed to the pool. After swimming, I wanted to warm up in the shower, but it wasn’t working at 10 pm. The staff refused to change rooms because there were no clean ones and no cleaners available. A security guard in a T‑shirt came to fix the shower and stepped in the wet floor. When I asked for cleaning, he said the hotel had no such practice and there were no housekeepers at that hour. Later that night, water started pouring from a ceiling lamp (I can’t believe it). The outlets in the room just fell out of the wall. Two bedbugs were killed (they said that’s normal for forest bedbugs to live in rooms). The next morning a different shift arrived and moved us to a newer building. Everything seemed fine until we tried to turn on the AC—it didn’t work, and honestly I was too lazy to troubleshoot. The toilet smelled like sewage, and the SPA was confusing because even the sauna wasn’t working.

Everything was great: the staff, the room, the warm pool, and everyone was responsive on the property, plus there was a chance to go fishing. We’ve stayed in at least 15 hotels in Georgia and this is the best 4‑star hotel. We’ll definitely come back.

The place feels luxurious and spacious, and the pool, sauna, hammam steam room, and hot bath are all great to use. The staff are friendly, and the courtyard with its lovely garden and the nearby river make nice spots to visit. However, there are a few things that could be improved: the outdoor “hot” bubble baths are actually colder than the pool, the indoor hot bubble bath is warm but could be hotter, and near the sauna there should be a cold water bath (ice bath) as that’s part of a real sauna experience and would make it 100× more enjoyable. Direct access between the sauna area and the swimming pool and hot bath spaces would also be helpful—walking between them should be as easy as possible. The pool sometimes had a very high chlorine level, irritating our eyes; the next day they changed the water and it was fine, but they should be careful not to add too much chlorine.
