The place sits right next to the metro and old town, plus Fountains Square and a bunch of local shops and bars are within walking distance. It feels like staying in someone’s house—on the second or third floor (third if you’re American), so you’re far from street noise. The room itself is clean, roomy, and the shared kitchen gives you coffee. The downside is that there’s no coffee maker in the room, and the lighting and seating make it feel a bit sterile, but it’s still comfortable for a couple of nights after a day of sightseeing.

The cleanliness tops the list; everything is starkly white or black as it should be. The owner is very helpful and kind, and the room and bathroom are spacious. The only minor inconvenience is that you have to take off your shoes at the entrance, but that’s a cultural norm and nothing major.

I was really impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the location, and I couldn’t find any flaws at all.

Honestly, I didn’t get the room I’d booked because of a mistake. The hotel offered me a new date a month later, but I didn’t notice until I arrived. The owner was incredibly kind, letting me cancel and giving me a different room that was available. I had to go up a few stairs, but I’m very grateful for his help.
