The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, my room had a wet smell and was right by the loud lobby restroom. The elevator was out, so they moved me to a room at the last minute because of my disability and my inability to use the stairs. The breakfast offered no variety on two consecutive days.

The location is convenient. Unfortunately, the elevators are always broken or problematic, so I ended up walking up four flights of stairs.

The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The experience with Wingate by Wyndham Austin North was very disappointing. After our stay, we were charged $250 for alleged damage to a microwave that we neither used, touched, nor damaged. It’s extremely concerning to be charged this amount for something we didn’t do. I asked the hotel to provide clear documentation supporting the charge, including photos, inspection records, and proof linking the alleged damage to our stay. Guests should carefully check their final charges and document the condition of their room when arriving and leaving. Based on this unexpected $250 damage charge, I would not stay at this property again.

The location is fine but everything else was terrible. I’m sorry. I didn’t receive any prior notice that the elevators were out, and my husband and I couldn’t climb three flights of stairs, so we couldn’t stay. I tried to cancel on the property but they didn’t reply. I spent over an hour in the lobby, trying to be patient and sort it out, but it was really hot and the hotel said they wouldn’t charge me, only to see that they had charged me the next morning. No manager was on duty that time or over the weekend to help us. I hope to get my refund soon.
