“REMANSO DE PAZ EN BILBAO”
The accommodation is very pretty, and at night there’s a calm that makes sleeping amazing. From the hotel the views of Bilbao are spectacular. It sits on the mountain (Artxanda) and a 10‑minute walk gets you to a funicular that takes you down to Bilbao. Walking straight from the hotel takes 20 minutes to the Guggenheim (you’ll have to climb back up, though there’s a nice elevator on a good stretch). Across the street is a restaurant (Berriz) that serves great food but doesn’t offer dinner service, so if you want to eat nearby you’ll have to go 2 km away. The room is fine and has a small TV, but we didn’t plan to watch TV. The parking is huge and free, and right outside the hotel there’s a bus stop. The only downside: they have an electric car charger that supposedly works for everyone, but when I tried to charge my car it wouldn’t accept it because I didn’t have a Total Energies RFID card, so don’t expect to charge your car unless you’re a Total Energies user.
