The pousada was very pretty, overlooking the Serra de São José, the area was very peaceful, the facilities were good, breakfast was tasty, and the staff were friendly, yet the room we stayed in needed a bit more careful maintenance.

The inn’s facilities are impressive: huge, cozy rooms, a comfy bed and a massive bathroom that felt pretty upscale. Breakfast was full and tasty, and the location works well if you have a car, though it’s not a walkable distance to downtown. The service, however, felt a bit cold for a boutique hotel; the staff weren’t as warm as I’d expected compared with similar places.
