Adelaide Travellers Inn Backpackers Hostel

You get what you pay for. The hostel is run down and nothing fancy, but my bed was comfortable and I was satisfied overall. Beware that no one is at reception until after 5 pm; this was supposedly communicated but I didn’t see it anywhere. Eventually a man came to meet me at the hostel to check in, which was nice.

There was no contact with the hotel. I lost money because nobody let me in when I arrived. I drove up to the building, but there isn’t even a bell.

The place was decent overall, nothing spectacular but it did the job.

“Derty and disgusting place run by terrible employees”

I was warned not to sleep there, and it didn’t disappoint. I followed the check‑in instructions, arrived at 2:15 PM, and the front desk yelled at me for being late. After a short argument, I was handed a room that was dirty, smelled bad, had no trash can, and no Wi‑Fi even though three networks were listed. I took photos to prove it. It’s a backpacker hostel, but you’d still expect basic cleanliness and courtesy.

“Awesome find last minute stays”

I liked that the kitchen stayed open all night and never got locked; there was plenty of space to stash my food bags. The only downside was the lack of lockers for valuables.
