I slept in a comfy bed in a spotless room, ate at the best restaurant, and the staff were super friendly, all surrounded by nature – we’ll come back if the universe allows. Everything else was fine.

The setting, the staff’s friendliness, and the inside and outside of the 15th‑century farmhouse were great. It was a bit far from the village and the price felt high for late September.

“A unique and special stay at a family-run historic farmhouse”

This is a truly special place to stay in Arantzazu. It is family‑run by the kindest people – especially the woman who handled check‑in was really lovely throughout my trip. The food is incredible, from the actually amazing breakfast buffet spread to the multi‑course meals with typical Basque dishes and very reasonable prices. Definitely the best food I had on my trip. The location of Arantzazu is unique and perfect for unwinding, hiking, and exploring. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the property itself is over 500 years old, so lots of history and character. This is a weird shout‑out but the towels were huge and comfy and smelled amazing.
