The only bright spot was the lighting when you entered as it darkened; I found the reception area odd, set up at a regular table, and expected more. The entrance was well lit and modern, but the hallways were dark. Room 229 was dirty with a stained carpet, the toilet was filthy, and it seemed someone had done something outside the water area; the bed or mattress was of poor quality. I had expected better cleaning and comfort from Novotel.
