Pension Yumi in Nikko features nine air‑conditioned rooms, each with a private bathroom, bath, shower, free toiletries and complimentary Wi‑Fi. Situated 2.3 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 2.6 km from Nikko Station, it provides easy access to Nikko Toshogu Shrine (3.1 km) and Kegon Falls (21 km).

The onsen and the proximity to Shinkyo Bridge were great. The only downside was the limited bus schedule.

The onsen was there. If you touch the bed you get fined.

The onsen and the jacuzzi were fantastic! It felt like a magical spot close to the station (by taxi). It’s a bit old and many rooms are only for two people. The kitchen needs a makeover and the mold problem needs fixing, but it’s still worth it.

The pension looked like a charming old family house. It may not be the most fancy, but the peaceful woods and the calm setting made the stay enjoyable. The onsens were amazing, the perfect way to relax after a hike. The host was very friendly and helpful. Getting there without a car is tough because only a few buses run daily. You can walk there (we did to reach Nikko station and the World Heritage Site), but it can be a bit risky at night due to poor lighting and no pedestrian paths. We suggest a cab (it’s reasonably priced from Nikko station, about 1200 Y). Some of the equipment is a bit old.
