Alexander, the host, offered a full refund because he couldn't provide the bed in the room I had booked. My reservation listed a room with an outer court view and a pool view, yet he first gave me a smaller room; after we discussed it, he was helpful and gave me a full refund, after which I moved to another hostel. In Uzbekistan, I’ve noticed that hostel receptions often mishandle currency exchanges when paying in Soms, and I was charged about 8500 extra soms because the staff didn’t recognize 40 USD cents. When I pointed out that the change should be available in Uzbek currency for 8500 soms, the hostel manager told me that if I didn’t like his terms I could cancel the booking.

The location is good, but there’s no place to relax; the vibe feels off-putting, travelers lack respect, it’s noisy, loud, and unconsiderate, and there’s no lamp besides the bed.
