The rooms were very nice with a great view of the lake and a comfortable bed, but the breakfast was more traditional than expected, and the street noise was quite noticeable.

At reception it really depends on who you meet, but overall the staff are friendly. The building is pretty amazing, the breakfast is decent, but you should rent real bikes because the ones here are antiques and can be a hassle if you’re tall. I found the breakfast mediocre, and after cycling 30 km around the lake there’s no food within a kilometre of the hotel, so bring your own supplies. It’s also the only hotel where my Revolut card didn’t work—luckily there’s a 7‑Eleven 1 km away to get cash.
