Nice hotel with friendly staff, but not many daytime dining options nearby; at night many eateries pop up within a 3‑minute walk. Alor Setar is a 20‑minute stroll away—just head toward the big tower—and it’s worth exploring the friendly, interesting streets. The location feels a bit like a scrap yard, though that’s not the hotel’s fault.
