The calm, welcoming staff and their kindness, plus the great location—just 20 minutes on foot from the fabulous Elqusir city, a wonderful town with history and style—made the stay worthwhile. It’s only 50 minutes from Marsa airport and a good base for trips to Luxor. The food was fresh and tasty, with Egyptian cuisine, and the chef even asked me what I preferred. The only downside was the access to the lagoon, but fortunately Mohammed Jaber, the beach lifeguard, showed me how to get there and even guided me on a fantastic snorkeling session in the coral reef right in front of the hotel, where I saw colorful fish and a sea turtle.

I enjoyed a two‑night stay at the Dolphin, with a room right next to the beach, a very comfortable space, and a seating area outside. The swimming pool was nice, and the half‑board meals were good. Everyone on the staff was kind and helpful, so I’d stay again. The only issues were the lack of towels and the Egyptian bed‑making style, which used only a bottom sheet and a fluffy blanket, no top sheet.

The reef is beautiful but hard to reach because the right‑hand diving team is missing. There is no restaurant, and the pizza and sandwiches are mediocre, making the place feel quite isolated.

El‑Kuseir offers good accommodation and a nice location with a decent room and a beautiful sea view. It’s quiet and peaceful, making it suitable for a single night. The breakfasts are very sparse, swimming in the sea isn’t allowed, and the pool is a bit dirty.
