The food was good, the comfort was home‑like, and I couldn’t find any fault.
“Great location for the Pennine Way.”
I liked the room, the dinner and breakfast were nice, and the owner kindly gave us a lift up the road so we could re‑join the Pennine Way.

The rooms and restaurant had a pleasant decor, the food was good, and the staff were friendly.
“A wonderful hotel. Good facilities, extremely helpful staff, and excellent quality of food.”
The staff were especially friendly and helpful, the food quality was high, and Gary gladly drove us to the Hadrian’s Wall trail on both days of our stay; I’d definitely recommend it to anyone walking the trail.
“Not a 4star ezperience. Room was tiny with no ventilation. You have to keep the front soor ipen to get any airflow intob”
