I liked everything, impeccable. The breakfast was excellent, the place was very comfortable and pleasant, and especially the people who work there are very welcoming and wonderful. Nothing to add—everything was great.

The place is very beautiful, with a large room, a big wardrobe, and a spacious balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped: good knives and all the tools you need for a proper cooking session. In the morning you can hear many exotic birds singing. It’s close to the best beach in the region, Itamambuca. The staff was amazing. It’s a great spot to meet lovely people, share meals, cook together, and go to the beach together—feels like a big family. There are many lovely animals around, but everything stays super clean. Bikes are available for rent with a free donation. Overall, outstanding price‑to‑value. The only downside is that the light in the room could be cozier.

A small pousada tucked into a beautiful tropical garden full of orchids, with comfortable simple rooms. The breakfast was good and the owner was very helpful. The pousada is a bit far from downtown—walking isn’t feasible—so taxis are needed for coming and going. However, being away from downtown gives it an interesting “jungle feel.”

Jovana, the owner, is spectacular; she cares about her guests, provides the best information and links to tours, and even takes you to see things. She’s truly special and knowledgeable about the area. The place feels like a little oasis in the city. São Gabriel is small, and you can get everywhere by walking or a free taxi. The pousada isn’t on the beach but has a beautiful garden that inspires you. Hot water, great breakfasts, laundry services, clean rooms—everything you can get in this area at a very good price.
