“very happy.”
The service was excellent and the staff, especially Mike and Wendy, were great. The only issue was the door slamming early in the morning.

The location is good and the place is quiet, but the facilities feel basic.

The staff were friendly, but the room was a bit dirty with items under the beds and overall outdated. The TV wouldn’t work on any apps because it’s too old, and the breakfast could use more options.

The king‑size bed and spa bath were great, but the stairs to the room are a problem for my wife’s bad knee and for my recent foot surgery.

It’s centrally located and easy to reach from the ring road. The front‑desk lady was very short with me; I’d just driven from Cairns to Mackay that day and was exhausted. I had to pay an extra $40 for our pet, yet when we turned the bed that night there was black dog/cat hair all over it. I questioned the extra money and was told the room would need a deep clean after we left, but it didn’t seem to happen when the previous guests left. I’m not upset about an extra $20, but $40 is steep for a poodle that doesn’t shed. The lady at the desk didn’t want to discuss it. I’m not sure we’ll stay again. We were placed on the bottom floor and the door had no lock on the inside, just a chain. The windows were timber louvres with no screens, so they couldn’t be left open.
