We could enter the apartment right away because the first door was open, so we cancelled immediately—my sister and I felt unsafe as anyone could reach the main entrance. We filed a complaint with the host, spoke to Monica who said the door was malfunctioning due to extreme heat, but received no further reply; we were still charged even though we never stayed at Grey and White, so I’m very unhappy.

The owner is very friendly, the room is spacious and fully equipped, but even though it’s not far from the centre, the area feels a bit unsafe at night.

Right in the heart of Rome, everything was close by, and the place was very clean.

The location was great, just a 20‑30 minute walk to the nearest attractions and close to the terminus station, and the air‑conditioning in the room was a plus. I could choose towels from the common area, the Wi‑Fi was fast, the place was clean, and the contactless check‑in worked smoothly, all for a reasonable price. Monica was very helpful, sending travel tips throughout my stay. However, we didn’t feel safe in the neighbourhood and left earlier than planned. The coffee machine was listed in the amenities, but there was no kettle in the common area. We weren’t told about the view from the White Room, which might explain why it was so quiet. The main entrance door didn’t lock properly, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and from the wardrobe where the duvet was kept—probably due to the heat. Luckily there was still a blanket that was adequate. On the last day, the whole building lost power, which was a bit inconvenient.
