The only redeeming factor was the location, yet the hotel was riddled with bed bugs. We were handed a wrong room with two twin beds jammed together on a thin mattress topper, causing the mattresses to separate and create a canyon in the middle. I demanded a refund, but the hotel ignored me after a single denial of bed bugs, even though I sent photos of grouped bites. My follow‑ups led nowhere, except a referral back to hotel Vondel Garden. We checked out after three nights, found another place, and spent the whole morning washing clothes at a laundromat out of pocket. Since the hotel remains unresponsive and offers no refund, I’ve started a charge‑back with my bank. If a representative can resolve this, call me at 1‑850‑567‑5796.

The place is simple and efficient, letting groups stay at a very reasonable price, though it’s about a 30‑minute walk from the city center.

The beds were clean and comfortable, the trash cans were emptied, and the bathroom was tidy (some wear and tear is visible, but it doesn’t affect sleep). The only issue was a hole in the floor where a plank was missing or damaged, which required a quick step over—this might not be obvious or easy for other guests. All other facilities were clean and neat.

The hotel’s location is convenient. The room includes a kettle, mirror, shelves, TV, shower, toilet, and sink. The blinds were broken, the light above the mirror didn’t work, and there were minor issues. It was noisy outside the window.
