An absolutely exceptional experience. The place has a perfect location. The swimming pool is in a flawless garden. We were able to walk through the entire house and chapel. A spring hangs in the garden. A beautiful place.

The place is very quiet, has the charm of renovated old buildings and nice views. The apartment has air conditioning in the rooms and living room, which is essential for the high temperatures that sometimes occur; we arrived at 39ºC! While the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, and tried to please you when you told them something, they failed to anticipate client needs, leaving out basic services. * No minimum kitchen utensils for cooking (cutlery, plates). * Wi‑Fi coverage was insufficient and didn't reach the bedrooms. * Only one two‑seat sofa for four people (four beds). * Only one TV worked in the apartment; the common area TV wouldn't turn on. * No hair dryer. * The advertised bar was closed. * Basic breakfast. No cold milk or hot water for infusions or toast; the kids ran out of Colacao and there was nothing to replace it. * No key cards to signal housekeeping, and they asked us on the third day if we wanted cleaning. I guess we weren't home when they came before? * The pool had a greenish bottom and murky water. Your eyes hurt if you opened it under the water; a technician came on the third day to clean the green, but the water stayed the same.

The hosts were very attentive and kind, and we were able to spend a lovely weekend with family thanks to their availability.

A personal stay in the Douron river area. Host Tina welcomed us warmly and took care of breakfast, including freshly squeezed orange juice. A very appealing place for drivers. Highly recommended☺️ The pool had maybe a bit too much chlorine for our taste, but luckily there was a shower nearby.
