“Good food, pleasant public space.”

Breakfast was great and dinner was good, but the air conditioner in my room stuck on “eco” kept cycling on and off all night, making it hard to sleep; when it wasn’t running the room felt too stuffy, and the bathroom was very cramped.

The property misled me about its location—though my reservation listed 231 Main Street, the staff told me the hotel was booked and I was sent to the Ranch, a different spot down the street that feels like an updated motor lodge; this offshoot location isn’t the same value or worth the price I paid, and no marketing or reservation info made this clear.

The bed was comfortable, yet the overall room quality doesn’t match the $120 max price; it feels more like a $200 room but falls short of the Common Man main inn’s standard, as this is one of their extension buildings—better to stay at the main inn.

“Classic New England comfort”

I loved the rustic New England vibe throughout the inn—everything was so beautiful and decorated, but the bathroom shower didn’t work; we couldn’t get it to turn on, though the handheld could be used.

The staff were very friendly during check‑in and check‑out, the breakfast cook was delightful and the food was very good, the location was great and quiet, but when I tried to run the air conditioner on low & auto it never turned on all night, making the room stuffy; running it on high blew cold air directly onto the person sleeping in the bed right in front of it, and the toilet definitely needs a chair‑height upgrade because it sits too low for a child.
