Located in a 16th-century coaching inn, the Poolewe Hotel boasts stunning views of Loch Ewe and Inverewe's botanical gardens. The hotel serves local produce in its restaurant and offers a selection of malt whiskies and real ales in the bistro and bar area. Scenic cycling and hill walking opportunities are nearby, with some rooms featuring mountain or sea views and amenities like TVs, tea, and coffee facilities.

The staff were extremely helpful and considerate, and I’d definitely return because of how well we were treated.

There wasn’t much to like, but the car parking was available. The room felt very dated, featuring a dark blue patterned carpet that was full of fluff and hair. The en‑suite had been updated, which was a relief, though it was small. I paid extra for a room with a view, only to see a mossy flat roof and a car park overlooking the sea; it was raining that day, so the view wasn’t great, and even on a sunny day it wasn’t the best. Breakfast was fine. We chose to dine elsewhere at night, so we didn’t use the hotel’s evening meals. I’d wait for an update before staying again.

The location was fine, but the exterior building felt dated and a bit dirty.

It wasn’t a great deal, and the place seemed poorly run. The room was acceptable but not outstanding. It would have helped if the front desk were open upon arrival; I understand check‑in starts at 16:00, but I had to wait until 16:15 just to get in. The staff seemed last‑minute hires, the breakfast was disappointing, and the one‑night cost was outrageous—totally overpriced.
