We booked this place for our family visiting Kuching for university intake, and they really appreciated the pantry that made the space feel homely. The highlight was its walkable proximity to the lake, though the room felt a bit cramped, it was still comfortable for the price we paid.

The hostel is in a prime spot right across from the Kuching Waterfront and behind the bustling main street of Chinatown. The room was fairly clean, and we shared a bathroom with a communal washing machine and dryer. Upstairs there’s a fully equipped kitchen and a potable water dispenser. Even though we used self‑check‑in, the owner checked in to make sure everything was fine, and after we reported clogged toilets, the issue was fixed the next day. The room was a bit small for three people and offered limited luggage space.

Terrible experience—no one was there when we arrived! We tried every way to get in touch, but no one answered, forcing us to book another hotel. Even after a month, we still haven’t received any refund response.

The location is superbly central, and they also provide free laundry and dryer for guests. However, the rooms lack windows, are tightly packed, and you can hear everything.
